If the weather permits, why not drive out to the ocean? Some of my girls & I needed a day out so we decided to chill at Carbon Beach in Malibu. The sun was out and the water was clear.
I finally gathered the courage to dive into the waves so you bet I had a glorious time. The ocean definitely beat me up, Johanna being my witness, but I still had so much fun. Unfortunately salt was only in my hair, but in my mouth as well...
It makes you down right envious knowing that people live beach front lives. LIKE, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You don't need that ocean sounds app when you have it right there in front of your bed room.
Jamo, being as tiny as she is, was the perfect demonstration of my weakness. We both ate shit milliseconds after my attempt to carry her.
After frolicking in the ocean, we decided to have lunch at Malibu Farm at the pier because WHY NOT? Here we saw dudes in polos, boats shoes, and aviators as well as women in linen pants with Louis purses and Prada sunglasses. I mean... come on. #MUSTBENICE
Food was great, Honna & I both got a chicken quesadilla with spicy aioli (my favorite) and Jambo & Michelle ordered the chicken ricotta bacon burger (?) There was also the watermelon juice which was $8 and a joke because... well yeah. The views were great, but of course we were accompanied by seagulls. Friends were great (at making fun of each other).
On the way home, it took us over an hour because of rush hour. However, we had One Direction & the Jonas Brothers to lighten up the mood as we reminisced our fan girl lives in the past, present, and future.
I'm making another trip to the water next week. Yeah, I know... must be nice? YOU BET.
Get some sun!
Love love love,
Lucia
