#PEOPLEWATCH2K15 Sunday Edition

HELLO HUMAN BEINGS OF PLANET EARTH!

Midterms is fast approaching (as in tomorrow) and I chose to procrastinate (of course) by taking super cool, super hip teen, Alyssa, around Downtown for a school project. I also ended up becoming a subject of photography which turned out to be a blog post! So I guess it's a win win for the both of us.

(Disney Concert Hall)

Our first stop was the Disney Concert Hall which I have never actually walked around, but have seen several times since it's across the street from my mother's building. As expected, it was tourist infested, but some kind of event was in procession so there were a bunch of cute children causing a commotion. We then walked through the Music Center and Grand Park on our way to the Grand Central Market for lunch.

 (Grand Central Market)

It was Alyssa's first time at Grand Central Market and we decided to go for some Pizza at Olio Pizzeria. We definitely didn't want to wait in the ridiculously long line for Egg Slut because we weren't feeling slutty for any eggs, not today at least.

(Margherita pizza from Olio)

Of course we had to get coffee at G&B, where we conversed with the Barista about his background with coffee. (His beard was gnarly and so was his face- not shown here).

(Alyssa's sweater- HCO; skirt- thrifted; boots- Zara)

Next stop on our mini adventure was California Plaza, treading up the smelly stairs by Angel's Flight. There was a pale pink wall which meant photo op to document my first official outfit for Spring.

What's great about venturing out to the Financial District in Downtown during the weekend is that there are literally no cars around, so you can basically stand there and wait to get hit by a car, but never actually getting hit! It's great.

 (couple smooching for their photographer)

We went underground, right below Grand where the lighting is greatly admired by several photographers. There were a few people taking photos at this location which is also a popular spot for filming (from what I've noticed whenever I pick my mother up from work).

After that stop, the plan was to go get truffle fries and hot chocolate at Bottega Louie, but OF COURSE parking was the ultimate struggle which meant that we had to post pone the craving. So we got back in my car and drove to the Arts District where parking, YET AGAIN, was being the devil. I honestly felt like I was living every Los Angeles Parking meme to ever be posted on social media.

Overall, today was a beautiful one. I always love walking around Downtown to eat and people watch. It is honestly one of my favorite past times and it was no doubt greatly achieved this Sunday. So if any of you want to roam around the city, feel free to call me! I am always up for a stroll.

Unfortunately, it is now time to study for my midterm, but after that it's SPRING BREAK! So until then... Have a beautiful week everyone!

Today's track was "King and Cross" by Asgeir! Enjoy this masterpiece!

Your gal,
Lucia
