LOVE IS IN THE AIR!
I finally found the time to develop my three disposable cameras from Coachella this past weekend. As expected, a lot of them came out like crap, but a majority of them came out to be pretty decent. This was my first Coachie weekend and let me tell you.. ouuuuuuu let me tell you, it was probably the best weekend of my entire 21 years of living. The weather was hot, the people were hot, the music was hot. Everything was just so hot. After years of waiting for the perfect lineup, I finally found it! 2014 was definitely my year. So many of my favorite performers were there which made the experience even more amazing and unforgettable.
Above is a photo of Capital Cities taken by Steph. They were so good, as usual, and I was so excited to see them again because the energy is always high.
STRFKR was something else. I SWEAR. Crowd surfers everywhere... and we were in the front so life sucked even more.
James Vincent McMorrow was incredible live. It was the first time I saw him and I was dead center 2nd row. Maybe because it was too early to function for the Coachie goers.
This was towards the end of Zedd's set. Confetti fell whilst I fell in love with Zedd even more. It was one of my favorites during the entire weekend. Everything was so perfect in this moment. Here we have The 1975. We went through so much for this view. Steph, Bea, Aram and I stood in the sun for about 3 sets. (I didn't burn thankfully) I didn't have to stand on my own because everyone was literally invading my space. It was quite the experience, but I'm glad I survived. Anything for Matty's "look I'm so cool, I'm smoking on stage and I'm not gonna smile and acknowledge your presence because I'm super hot and I'm wearing a floral button up" stage presence right? ANYWAY. I love them.
Of course we sawplenty more bands like FOSTER THE PEOPLE, BASTILLE (my bby Dan walked to me and I died a million deaths), HAIM, Martin Garrix, A$AP Ferg, Pharrell, MGMT, Empire of the Sun, some Kid Cudi, Chvrches, Outkast, Arcade Fire, Calvin Harris, Disclosure, John Newman, Rudimental, Surfer Blood. Just so many, even if it was just for a couple songs.
& then there's the pictures I took on my iPhone that killed my battery. Luckily I was provided with a portable battery charger. Shout out to the mumzie!
#Miley4Coachie!
that's not even close to everything on my phone, but anyway...
We had a grand time in the desert and we can't wait to go back next year :) hopefully with more of the homies!
Until then... I will be suffering from Coachie withdrawals.
